Thirsty Thursday: Brown Sugar Hot Chocolate

We know for many of you Dry January means you are looking for something different to drink. Try our Brown Sugar Hot Chocolate for a sweet treat.

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 10 minutes

Servings: 4 mugs

  1. Foreplay: Gather all of your ingredients and a medium sauce pan.

  2. Main Event: Over a medium heat, combine your milk, water, half-and-half, coco powder, sugars white and brown, salt, and vanilla. Stir continuously for about 10 minutes. Then pour into four mugs.

  3. Climax: For a little extra try our brown sugar whipped cream. Whip cream, brown sugar, and salt beat until you have stiff peaks. Add just a bit of vanilla to top it off.


Brown Sugar Hot Chocolate:

  • 3 1/2 C whole milk

  • 1/3 C water

  • 1/3 C half-and-half

  • 1/3 C unsweetened cocoa powder

  • 2/3 C granulated sugar

  • 4 T. light brown sugar

  • 1/8 tsp. salt

  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract

Brown Sugar Whipped Cream:

  • 6 oz heavy whipping cream

  • 1/4 C light brown sugar

  • 1/8 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
